What is the Role?
This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Lawyer or Associate who enjoys hands‑on client work, varied matters and working closely with experienced senior practitioners. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of employment, industrial relations, and work health & safety matters, often engaging directly with senior management, HR teams, and in‑house legal teams.
Your matters may include:
- Employment claims, workplace investigations and employee management
- Contract reviews, compliance and post‑employment restraints
- Award interpretation and underpayment issues
- Strategic IR advice, enterprise bargaining and union engagement
- Right of entry and dispute management
- WHS incident response, enforcement matters, investigations and workers’ compensation
Experience in IR and WHS is highly regarded but not essential.
Clients
The team works with a broad range of organisations across Australia and internationally, including listed companies, multinational corporations and SMEs. You’ll often liaise with senior management, in‑house legal teams and global counterparts, providing exposure to high‑level strategic matters while also supporting smaller national businesses.

You’ll be a confident and client‑focused employment lawyer who enjoys both autonomy and teamwork. Ideally, you will:
- Have a minimum of 1 year PAE in employment law (IR/WHS experience an advantage)
- Demonstrate strong technical, drafting and analytical skills
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Thrive in a supportive and high‑performing team environment
