HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANICS / FITTERS - BDS MECHANICAL CAIRNS / FIFO TO FNQ
We are currently looking for experienced LV Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics and Fitters to join our Cairns team or FIFO to FNQ sites in full-time, permanent positions for both workshop and field service roles. The successful candidates will possess the following:
* Relevant trade qualification
* Diagnostic experience
* Strong fault-finding skills
* Experience with trucks and trailers
* Heavy earthmoving experience (advantageous)
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Additional skills, experience, tickets, and licences will be highly regarded
Your duties will include:
* Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
* General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4’s
* Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
* Checking vehicle lighting systems
* Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
* Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
* Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
