About our new site
Enaex Australia are proud to announce our newly awarded contract with Rio Tinto, at their Hope Downs Operations!
Hope Downs is an iron ore site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia (FIFO from Perth or Busselton). There will be 4 crews of 6 to 8 people, working an 8/6 rotating day/night roster, providing a down the hole (DTH) service.

About the positions
We are actively seeking experienced
Leading Hands
to play an integral role in the establishment and long-term success of our new contract.
As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for safe and efficient operations of the MPU while supporting daily site operations. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will provide direct support, ensuring production, safety, and compliance requirements are met.
While on night shift, you will assume full supervisory responsibilities, maintaining operational continuity, team coordination, and adherence to site standards.
About you
Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency in leading a positive safety culture
Demonstrated experience operating MPUs in an open cut environment
Team leader or supervisory experience highly regarded
Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised
Good interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills
Sound knowledge of dangerous goods and explosives legislation
High attention to detail with a commitment to quality, timeliness and accuracy
Quick and efficient problem-solving skills
What you need
Dangerous Goods Security Card – WA
G2 Implementation of Risk Management
Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Office suite and experience with corporate systems)
National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain)
WHS Statutory Supervisor Qualifications & record of examination - desired
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and shotfirer licence/experience highly regarded
