The Opportunity:
The Project Manager will be part of the Communications Delivery Team within the Land Communications & Specialist Systems Systems Program Office, supporting the delivery of capabilities under the Land C4 Capability System. This system includes key components such as telecommunications networks, battlefield management systems, and deployable information environments.
The role involves managing procurement activities, coordinating resources, and supporting the transition of capability elements into sustainment. The Project Manager will work closely with internal delivery teams and Defence stakeholders to ensure successful integration and delivery of capability. Responsibilities include planning, reporting, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving across technical, operational, and logistical domains.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project activities associated with capability procurement and delivery.
- Conduct planning and reporting functions within the CDT.
- Develop and maintain project management plans and reports.
- Coordinate CDT resources and support user evaluation activities.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
- Manage schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide strategic advice to stakeholders including Capability Managers, contractors, and Defence boards.
- Minimum 8 years of current and relevant project management experience.
Desirable Criteria:
- Recognised project management qualifications (e.g. AIPM).
- Experience with Army Soldier Systems equipment.
- Familiarity with Army Land Trials and planning trial activities.
- Experience engaging with Defence stakeholders across LC4 Army HQ, Land Systems Division, Joint Systems, and CASG.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to develop and implement work plans that support successful delivery.
Due to the nature of Defence work, applicants must be Australian citizens and hold an active NV1 security clearance.
