The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Engineer to drive INTEC's growth in the Australian market. This hands-on role combines technical expertise in PV and BESS systems with commercial insight to identify, qualify, and convert high-value opportunities. You will engage with clients, developers, and stakeholders, build strong relationships, support bid preparation, and help develop a commercially viable project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse market trends, regulations, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities in the Australian PV and BESS sector.
* Engage with clients, developers, utilities, and investors to understand technical and commercial requirements and generate qualified leads.
* Support bid preparation by providing technical-commercial input, pricing models, and proposals aligned with company targets.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transition from early engagement to project execution.
* Report on opportunity pipeline, market insights, and bid progress to the BD Director and senior leadership.
* Participate in industry events and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen INTEC's market position.
About You
You are a commercially focused, results-driven professional with a strong understanding of PV/BESS systems and market dynamics. You bring excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, a proactive approach to opportunity management, and experience working across complex, cross-functional projects.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Renewable Energy, or related field.
* 5+ years' experience in business development, technical-commercial engagement, experience with utility-scale solar, BESS, or grid-connected projects is highly desirable.
* Proven ability to engage clients, evaluate opportunities, and support bid development.
* Strong commercial acumen and focus on profitability.
* Knowledge of Australian market regulations, incentives, and industry trends is an advantage.
