Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist mental health services, including crisis response and short to medium term episodes of care, to meet the mental health needs of people accessing our service.
The successful candidate will have expertise in providing brief evidence-based psychological interventions and therapeutic management for individuals and groups. You will also be responsible for supporting and advising family members, significant others, healthcare professionals, and support staff as appropriate.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) qualification, registration as a Nurse Practitioner (endorsed Mental Health) with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009, and a current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Additionally, you should have a current Prescriber Number & Credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN).
