About the role
Reporting directly to The Building Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Officer will be responsible for the delivery of a customer focused maintenance service. Proactively engaging with staff, residents and service providers to provide support, advice and interventions to ensure that facilities and services within the precinct are effectively maintained. Repairs and preventative maintenance are undertaken promptly, to a high standard and within regulatory requirements. Service contractors are monitored and supervised ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are attained.
How you'll make an impact
A day in the life as our Maintenance Officer, may see you;
- Maintaining plant, equipment, building and services.
- Ensure up-to-date records of all chemicals in use and compliance with appropriate safety best practice.
- Stock control
- Identify preventative maintenance requirements, complete the works and documentation of schedules.
- Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is actioned within legal requirements and are documented in the relevant registers.
- Ensuring preventative and scheduled maintenance registers are maintained and up to date.
About you
As a collaborative compassionate member of the team, ideally with experience within the health and/or aged care sector, you'll have:
- A trade background is strongly desirable
- Ability to make informed decisions in a timely and accurate manner relating to maintenance within our facilities.
- Good communication and team work
- Experience working in a similar environment – skills in general building repairs and maintenance, facilities management and trade experience
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements
- Computer knowledge/skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Robust interpersonal and time management skills
- A passion for customer service
- Current National Police Certificate
