**The opportunity**
The role is to support line management in the identification, management, quantification and reporting of project, program and portfolio risks and issues by coordinating and facilitating the risk and issue management process in accordance with all applicable requirements including the Transport Enterprise Risk Management (TERM) framework.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Provision of line management support in relation to qualitative and quantitative risk management for projects, programs and portfolios in accordance with all applicable requirements
- Supporting risk owners to ensure risks are captured and recorded in the risk management information system (RMIS) and the delivery of project-level training in relation to risk management and the RMIS to ensure quality and accuracy of all risk and issue records.
- Facilitation of risk workshops designed to support project teams in the identification, assessment and management risks to project and organisation objectives
- Coordination of a program of regular risk and issue reviews with risk/issue owners and project teams to ensure risks and issues information remains accurate and current
- Supporting development of project risk management plans to document and communicate project specific risk management arrangements including root cause analysis, risk aggregation, risk impact scenario analysis and response plan development.
- Supporting and facilitating IP processes for quantitative cost risk analysis to support project decision making and reporting in relation to contingency
- Supporting IP project performance and control processes such as cost estimates, business case submissions, tender assessments, regular financial cycle reviews and lessons learned
- Preparing regular and ad hoc risk and issue reports and supporting line management with timely escalation of risks exceeding TfNSW risk appetite and tolerance criteria
- Reviewing TfNSW and contractor project risk management plans to confirm compliance with contractual requirements, promoting consistency with TERM requirements and high-quality risk management practices within contractor organisations

**About you**
In addition to being able to demonstrate relevant experience in the key responsibilities area, as above, the following skills, knowledge and experience will be highly regarded:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as finance, engineering or project management or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience in the identification, assessment and control of risk sound knowledge of project risk management processes and sources of risk across the project lifecycle
- Sound knowledge of applicable standards and guidelines relevant to project risk management including publications by Infrastructure New South Wales (or equivalent), Risk
