Mental Health Nurse – PR186/SID482 Visa – Regional / Rural (Far West LHD)

Candidate Requirements:
* Registered Mental Health Nurse with relevant qualifications
* 2-3 years post qualifying experience
* Hold, or be eligible for, AHPRA registration (Our team can guide you through the process.)
* ANMAC (Mental health code) for PR Pathway
* Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
Job/Role responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments to support accurate diagnosis and care planning.
* Deliver evidence‐based therapeutic interventions and support patients through recovery‐focused, person‐centred care.
* Administer and monitor medications, ensuring safe practice, documentation, and reporting of side effects or changes in presentation.
* Respond to acute / forensic mental health crises, using de‐escalation techniques and collaborating with crisis teams to ensure patient and staff safety.
* Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to case meetings, discharge planning, and ongoing coordination of care.
