Overview
We’re looking for an energetic, full-time Store Manager for our Wollongong store, who has a passion for service excellence and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position would suit an experienced manager or Assistant Store Manager looking to take the next step. The successful candidate will be responsible for retail fundamentals, including outstanding customer service, reporting, promotions, and merchandising standards. You will help achieve sales and profitability growth while maintaining a productive and safe work environment. Guided by the Regional Manager, you will work closely with other Store Managers and the Trade team to implement and maintain sales growth within our Company Owned Stores and continue to strive for service excellence within the paint industry.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate exceptional customer service, accountability, ownership, teamwork, promote engagement and offer solutions.
Provide leadership and set cultural standards for the team to follow.
Maintain the team\'s knowledge, skills, and behaviours to ensure a successful store culture.
Tinting & mixing paint, palletising paint drums, arranging orders for delivery & colour matching.
Deliveries using the store vehicle.
Inventory, ordering, stock replenishment.
Drive store revenue growth and hit KPIs.
Maximise the sales approach to focus on the features and benefits of PPG products.
Assist in implementing marketing and promotional plans to maximise sales potential.
Maintain and develop customer relationships; offer advice/solutions to customers (trade and retail).
Operate point of sale system and prepare sales invoices following company policy.
Uphold the highest levels of safety for all team members, customers & contractors.
About You
Motivated with the ability to demonstrate initiative.
Experience in retail sales with a strong customer focus, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Visual merchandising experience preferred, not essential.
An eye for detail with a focus on safety and driving sales results.
Comfortable with technology – computer literacy is a must.
Available Monday – Friday between 7am – 5pm for a 38 hour work week; occasional weekend work may be required.
Requirements
Previous Assistant Store Manager or experienced Retail Sales role.
A valid driver’s license.
Permanent working rights.
Paint industry experience is not mandatory – training can be provided.
