Index Academy is a tutoring centre based in Burwood East, supporting students from Year 3 through to VCE. We provide high-quality, personalised learning in small class environments to help students build confidence, master key concepts, and achieve strong academic results.
We are looking for passionate, reliable tutors to join our team for 2026 and beyond.
Positions Available
We are currently hiring for:
- Maths Tutors (Year 3 – VCE)
- English Tutors (Year 3 – VCE)
- Science Tutors (VCE Biology, Physics, or Chemistry)
Both casual and part-time positions are available.
What You'll Do
* Teach students in small classes (1–3 students)
* Follow structured lesson plans and content roadmaps
* Provide guidance, feedback, and academic support
* Maintain communication with the centre and contribute to student progress
* Commit to a consistent weekly timetable during the school year
Requirements
To apply for this role, you must have:
* ATAR 96+ (or equivalent academic achievement)
* Study Score 40+ in the subject(s) you wish to teach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly
* A positive attitude, patience, and willingness to learn
* Ability to commit to the role for the full school year (we are not suitable for short-term or "stop-gap" casual work)
