Job Title: Telecommunications Technical Officer/Rigger
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Technical Officer/Rigger to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and recovery of 4G, 5G, and NBN wireless systems.
You will work closely with our project management team to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including green field guyed mast, tower, and monopole construction projects. You will also have the chance to work with leading telecommunications companies, such as Telstra, Vodafone, and Optus.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure 4G, 5G, and NBN wireless systems are built and operational as per design.
* Implement and adhere to work safety practices in work areas.
* Install, maintain, and recover WCDMA/LTE Networks.
* Install, recover Panel Antennas, Head Frames, Hybrilflex Cables, Feeder Cables, Earthing, Cable Trays, Remote Radio Units.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faulty wireless systems.
* Commission and integrate wireless technologies.
* Hauling, terminating, and testing of all sorts of cables required for the wireless telecommunications system (Coaxial, DC, Ethernet, Optical fibre).
* Work at heights cooperating with install of antennas, dishes, feeder cables on rooftops and towers.
* Proficient in PIM, VSWR, and Sweep Testing.
* Sound understanding of WHS requirements and responsibilities – including SWMS, MOP’s, JSA’s.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* 3 years’ experience in structural rigging within the Telecommunication / Radiocommunication industry.
* Experience working on green field guyed mast, tower, and monopole construction projects.
* Telstra, Vodafone, Optus 4G/5G experience will be highly regarded.
* NBN Wireless experience.
* Police Clearance.
* Full Drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Post-Secondary Education or relevant technical certifications or training would be advantageous.
