Overview
Australian Garnet (AGPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Resource Development Group Limited (RDG), a publicly listed company trading on the ASX, operates the Lucky Bay garnet processing plant. The mine site is located approximately 35 kilometres from Kalbarri, with a mine life of over 40 years. The onsite team handles mining, wet processing, dry and packaging plants, and containerized transport to Perth. AGPL is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the protected, efficient and productive operations of the processing plants and assume site leadership as required.
Responsibilities
- Supervisor of all processing activity on site, including back shifts.
- Responsible for the operations team in the crew and their performance.
- Liaison with Mining, Product & Maintenance teams within Australian Garnet via frequent informative communications.
- Coordinate and plan operations on site on a day-to-day basis.
- Optimise plant operations to provide the best outcome.
- Prioritise care for people working on Australian Garnet sites.
- Assign and allocate resources appropriately.
- Monitor performance of maintenance work and provide feedback.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5 years mining experience.
- Solid mechanical aptitude, experience with DCS, plant operating software.
- Experience with mineral sand processing and mining equipment.
- Cert IV in mineral processing highly regarded.
- Supervisory training is preferable.
- Safety-focused, team player who aims to become a highly valued member of a small operations team.
