About The Role
Loy Yang A Power Station | Full-Time | Permanent
We are seeking a Turbine Team Leader to lead turbine maintenance activities at Loy Yang A Power Station, supporting the day-to-day execution of critical work in a client-facing environment.
In this role, you’ll coordinate Supervisors, trades, and contractors, ensuring that turbine-related maintenance is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. You’ll play a visible, hands-on leadership role, working closely with the client through daily catch-ups and providing on-the-ground support — while reporting formally to the Maintenance Execution Superintendent .

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate turbine maintenance activities including day-to-day, planned, and outage/project work
* Provide strong on-site leadership to Supervisors, trades, and contractors
* Plan and allocate work based on priorities, resource availability, and risk
* Lead trade resources as defined by the Maintenance Execution Superintendent at Loy Yang Power Station
* Be a key client interface through daily check-ins and support, fostering trust and collaboration
* Drive a strong safety culture using tools like Team TIFR and Field Assurance Tools (FATs)
* Oversee job quality through compliance checks, documentation (WI, ITPs, ITCs), and field audits
* Support the planning and delivery of major outages and projects
* Coach, mentor, and develop team members to ensure performance and skills growth
* Monitor and manage team performance, productivity, and schedule compliance
* Identify opportunities for improvement across job plans, processes, and work methods
About You
You’re a confident and experienced leader in power generation or heavy industry, passionate about safety, quality, and team development. You thrive in fast-paced, operational environments and are skilled at balancing priorities, resources, and compliance.
You're confident working closely with clients and tradespeople alike.
To Be Successful, You Will Have
* Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner (essential)
* 7+ years’ experience in turbine maintenance, power generation, or other heavy industry
* Experience supervising teams in an industrial maintenance setting
* Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients on the ground
* Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
Desirable (but Not Essential)
* Confined Space and Working at Heights certification
* Experience with ageing turbine assets and high-wear components
* Exposure to outage and shutdown planning and execution
