**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a professional Solicitor to join their growing team in Parramatta with the flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 4month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Estate Management Business Unit, you will provide high level legal services, research and support in complex areas of law relating to Estate Management to ensure the provision of legal services for the Department and it's clientele.
**Responsibilities**
- Deliver high quality legal advice, case law, transactions or litigation in accordance with legislation, best practice and policy
- Establish and maintain effective, productive and professional stakeholder relationships
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on contentious issues
- Interpret, analyse and prepare complex legal documentation including legal records, submissions, briefings and court documents
- Contribute to the development and review of legal standards, practices, policies, systems, procedures, manuals, precedents and processes
- Manage and provide advice on Departments arising matters to ensure effective service delivery
- Assist in the development of training to ensure high quality and effective professional services within the Estate Management Division
- Facilitate responses to legal reviews, law reform proposals, Ombudsman and Ministerial requests
- Ensure compliance with practice management standards
**About You**
- Demonstrated Estate Management Law experience
- Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Takes initiative, with a strong team and task focus
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary Law Qualifications
- Legal Practising Certificate and admission as a Solicitor of the NSW Supreme Court
- Proven Solicitor experience
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
