This role will be leading the design of complex internal decision support tools for network planning, monitoring, and optimisation. This is a critical transformation project, moving their current data-heavy, manual workflows to a more automated, intelligent digital platform.
Term : Minimum 6 months, likely 12+ plus
Start : ASAP
The Role:
- Initial focus: Hands‑on mapping of complex user journeys/workflows and rapidly visualising/testing concept mockups with network engineers and SMEs.
- Key challenge: Simplifying incredibly data‑dense, technical interfaces to effectively bubble up critical recommendations.
- Long‑term: Defining design principles and potentially leading a small team (UX, UI, Content) over time.
What I'm looking for:
- 10+ years in UX, with proven experience in designing complex internal workflow/decision support tools (e.g., logistics, asset management, not B2C/retail).
- Comfort and expertise in leveraging data to provide concise, clear recommendations to technical users.
- Strong Systems Thinking (multi‑role journey mapping) and the ability to facilitate discovery and co‑design with highly technical SMEs.
