About us
We provide businesses with executive and operational-level support that drives meaningful improvements in productivity, efficiency, and project outcomes. Our approach is grounded in deep technical expertise, rapid problem definition, and practical execution across complex resource and industrial environments.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineering Lead to support a major feasibility-stage development, providing technical leadership and governance across process plant definition and front-end engineering activities.
This is a high-impact role offering exposure to feasibility and front-end phases, where your expertise will directly influence design quality, capital discipline, and execution readiness.
About the role
As the Process Engineering Lead, you will act as a key technical authority within a lean owner's team, overseeing the development of a process plant from metallurgical testwork through feasibility and into front-end phases. You will guide and challenge external engineering and study consultants to ensure an integrated, robust, and execution-ready design.
Your responsibilities will span flowsheet development, metallurgical testwork oversight, cost and schedule inputs, and cross-discipline integration to support a successful transition into front-end engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing owner's team oversight and governance of copper–gold process plant development activities.
* Leading process definition for the Feasibility Study, including flowsheets, mass balances, equipment selection, and design criteria.
* Overseeing metallurgical testwork programs (including flotation and gold recovery) and ensuring outcomes are reflected in process design.
* Guiding and reviewing external engineering and study consultants, including scope definition, technical review, challenge, and acceptance of deliverables.
* Optimising flowsheets for base-case and expansion scenarios, balancing metallurgical performance, operability, capital efficiency, and execution risk.
* Reviewing and endorsing process inputs to capital and operating cost estimates, schedules, and risk registers.
* Interfacing with infrastructure disciplines to ensure integration across power, water, tailings, materials handling, buildings, and site services.
* Reviewing feasibility documentation, including metallurgy and process plant sections.
* Supporting feasibility-level tendering and transition into front-end engineering as required.
What you'll need
* Minimum 10 years' experience
* Demonstrated experience contributing to Pre-Feasibility and/or Feasibility Studies within an owner's team environment.
* Strong background in copper flotation, gold recovery, metallurgical testwork oversight, and flowsheet optimisation.
* Experience with feasibility-level tendering and/or front-end engineering (FEL / FEED).
* Tertiary qualification in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
* Strong analytical and technical review capability with a focus on execution-ready outcomes.
What we offer
* A challenging and rewarding 12-month contract role with potential extension into front-end engineering phases.
* Flexible location within Australia, with Brisbane-based candidates encouraged.
* The opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a major development through feasibility and beyond.
* A collaborative, high-calibre project environment focused on technical excellence and disciplined delivery.
We are looking for driven, commercially aware professionals who take ownership, apply sound judgement, and can confidently guide outcomes in complex project environments. Competitive contract rates are offered, along with the opportunity for rapid and diverse project exposure.
