Speech Pathologist Role
This role involves working as a speech pathologist in an educational setting, where you will provide services to students with communication disorders. Your responsibilities will include screening, evaluating and providing appropriate services to students with articulation, voice, language or fluency disorders that affect educational performance.
* Develop and implement individualized plans for each student's needs, ensuring effective therapeutic outcomes.
* Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure seamless support for students' learning and communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Screening: Conduct thorough assessments of students' communication skills to identify areas requiring attention.
* Evaluation: Develop and implement comprehensive evaluation tools to determine students' strengths and weaknesses in communication.
* Therapy: Provide individualized therapy sessions to address specific communication disorders, focusing on articulation, voice, language or fluency issues.
* Consultation: Offer expert consultation services to teachers and parents to enhance their understanding of students' communication needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Masters or equivalent degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
* Experience working with children and adolescents with communication disorders.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents and other professionals in related fields.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
