Job Description
The Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2 project is a significant infrastructure development in Sydney, aimed at connecting the Rozelle Interchange to WestConnex. This ambitious project involves the construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction.
* Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels
* Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway
This role requires an Excavation Site Engineer to coordinate excavation activities, ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery. The successful candidate will also assist in planning materials, equipment, and systems for efficient excavation operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate excavation activities to meet safety, quality, and environmental standards
* Assist in planning materials, equipment, and systems for efficient excavation operations
* Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality, safety, and environmental standards
* Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders during planning and execution
* Monitor budgets and schedules, including cost control and 3-week lookahead planning
* Interpret excavation-specific design plans and geotechnical drawings
* Support early-career engineers through mentorship and knowledge-sharing
