Position: Sponsorship Sales Manager

Our client is seeking Sponsorship Sales Manager to join their team in North Sydney.
As a Sponsorship Sales Manager you are responsible for selling sponsorship opportunities on conferences to senior level executives of public and private sector companies.
This involves meeting with the conference producer to be briefed on the intellectual content of the conference, researching the potential market and sourcing leads from within the predefined categories.
The role entails a cold calling element via the phone, creation and distribution of proposals and closing deals.
Excellent relationship management of sponsors, both over the phone and onsite, is essential to establishing long term business partnerships.
Commitment to the sales process is mandatory.
The sponsorship sales department is a high energy team working towards individual and collective targets using a tailored sales methodology on which you will be thoroughly trained.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Attend briefing meetings with producers on intellectual content and unique selling points of conferences
2. Identify target market for solution provider sponsorship opportunities
3. Market research and lead sourcing of potential sales prosects
4. Developing a continuous pipeline of sales leads
5. Pitching and tailoring sponsorship opportunities to clients over the telephone and face-to-face
6. Applying the sales methodology in order to close business
7. Working towards monthly sales performance targets
8. Preparing sales contracts to send out to clients
9. Developing long term business relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
10. Onsite management of sponsors attending conferences.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field
2. At least 2-3 years of experience in Sponsorship Sales
3. Excellent team working skills
4. Desire and ability to work to targets
5. Ability to operate well under pressure
6. Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
7. Strong negotiation skills
