Superintendent - Control Systems and Electrical Engineering
Job Summary:

The Role:
* Lead the EIC Team: Responsible for leading the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EIC) Team to support Murrin Murrin Operations' goals of outstanding EHS performance, maximising plant performance by improving reliability, availability and effectiveness of plant control and instrument and electrical equipment while reducing operating costs and capital expenditure.
* Manage the delivery of the EIC Business Plan activities: Oversee the execution of the EIC Business Plan to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
* Manage technical support and stewardship: Ensure the reliability, maintenance, and upgrade of the Plant Distributed Control System, Plant Programmable Logic Controllers, Plant Safety Instrumented and Emergency Shutdown Systems, and various communication systems.
* Ensure integrity of designated Hazardous Areas: Verify that all equipment, systems, and drawings meet Australian Standards requirements.
* Champion preventative maintenance plan: Promote adherence to statutory compliance with work standards set down in equipment maintenance strategies, Australian Standards, and other regulatory acts and standards.
* Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations: Conduct RCA investigations into equipment and system breakdowns to improve asset reliability, availability, and utilisation.
* Implement proactive engineering systems: Develop and implement systems to prevent and predict plant failure, enhancing asset utilisation, asset integrity, and reliability.
* Provide discipline support: Assist in future growth and sustaining capital projects, including Technical Scope of Work development, deliverable identification, and technical assurance.
* Manage Service Agreement Contracts: Oversee assigned Service Agreement Contracts to ensure effective management and execution.
About You:
* Tertiary degree in relevant field: A tertiary degree in a relevant field such as Electrical – Power Systems, Electrical – Control, Electronic, or similar.
* Registered Professional Engineer: Registration as a Professional Engineer administered by the Institution of Engineers, Australia, or similar.
* Technical experience: At least 10-years' technical experience in both power systems and control & instrumentation systems associated with chemical plant, power station, or hydro-met facilities.
* Solid understanding of installation, inspection & maintenance: Strong understanding of installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas.
* Demonstrated success as an effective leader: Proven track record of leadership and ability to implement solutions.
* Experience in managing costs and budgeting: Experience in managing costs and budgeting, with a focus on reducing expenses.
* Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas: Ability to apply continuous improvement concepts to drive excellence.
* High level understanding of legislation: Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation applicable to the role in the mining industry in WA.
