About our Underground team
Our Underground team specialises in the delivery of complex underground infrastructure, with proven expertise across tunnelling, trenchless construction and deep shaft construction in both the civil infrastructure and mining industries.
Our in-house fleet of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) is equipped to operate across a range of ground conditions, while our world-leading deep shaft blind boring rigs, among the largest globally, are owned, operated and maintained by our specialist teams.
About the opportunity
We are looking for experienced Supervisors to join our Underground team in Sydney. Initially you will be working on a complex trenchless sewer project, the project involves deep shaft construction and significant temporary works, with a mix of self-perform tunnelling works and specialist subcontract delivery.
Beyond this project, you will have the opportunity to work across our growing pipeline of tunnelling and underground infrastructure projects across our national portfolio.
We are particularly interested in speaking with Supervisors with experience in:
* Enabling works, deep excavations and maintenance hole installation and/or;
* Pipe jacking or microtunnelling.
As a Supervisor in our Underground team you will:
* Supervise site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
* Coordinate daily construction activities including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors across multiple work fronts.
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved construction methodologies, safety requirements and quality standards.
* Monitor progress against the construction program and support the project team to maintain schedule and productivity targets.
* Foster a strong safety culture on site and lead by example through proactive safety leadership.
What you'll bring to the team
* Demonstrated experience supervising underground infrastructure or tunnelling projects.
* Experience in either deep excavations, shaft construction, maintenance hole installation and enabling works, or pipe jacking, microtunnelling or other trenchless construction methods.
* Strong leadership capability with experience coordinating site crews, subcontractors and multiple work fronts.
* A practical, solutions focused approach with the ability to manage changing site conditions and delivery challenges.
* Strong commitment to safety leadership and maintaining high performing site teams.
* Relevant trade or civil construction qualifications
