About the Role
We're seeking a motivated Cable Installation Technician to join our expanding team.
This hands-on role involves the installation, termination, and testing of electrical and data cabling across new vessel builds, government projects, and commercial fishing vessels, with opportunities for occasional travel to support vessel refits and electronic upgrades across regional WA.
You'll work alongside our experienced marine electronics technicians and receive on-the-job training in marine systems integration, including navigation, communications, and acoustic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, terminate, and test electrical and data cabling for marine and shore-based systems
* Assist in the fit-out of new vessel builds and refit projects
* Support the installation of navigation, communication, and sonar systems
* Maintain safe work practices and uphold company standards for quality and workmanship
* Work collaboratively with our technical and project teams
* Participate in ongoing on-the-job training and skill development
Requirements
* Experience with structured cabling, terminations, or general electrical installations
* White Card (mandatory)
* Manual driver's licence
* Strong attention to detail and neat cable presentation
* Willingness to learn, travel, and work in marine environments
Desirable (not essential):
* Electrical or data cable testing skills and/or qualifications
* Confined Space / EWP / Working at Heights tickets
