People and Culture Coordinator
Employment: Full time / Ongoing
Salary: $65,000 + Super + Salary Packaging (up to $70,000 with experience) plus super and salary packaging
Location: Surrey Hills, VIC or Hobart TAS
About the role
As our current P&C Coordinator has recently progressed into a Business Partnering role at Able Australia, we are now looking for an eager P&C Coordinator to join our team and grow their career with us! This is a fantastic opportunity with exposure across all areas of People & Culture, including Talent, Learning & Development, Workplace Health & Safety, and Employee Relations.
The People and Culture Coordinator is the first point of contact for people‐related matters, and plays a key role in building trust, maintaining confidentiality and providing a positive employee experience across the full employment lifecycle.
The People and Culture Coordinator is responsible for delivering high‐quality operational HR services across the following key areas:
* Managing the 'People' inbox, as the first point of contact for Able Australia's people enquiries from onboarding to exit. This position is responsible for responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner, and triaging complex matters to the relevant team members as required
* Onboarding of employees, supporting new starters through their first impressions with Able Australia, including supporting training and induction
* Creation and distribution of end‐to‐end employment documentation, including variation and termination of employment and new starter contracts
* Maintaining up to date compliance for employment screening checks
* Legally compliant collection, use, storage and dissemination of personal and business information
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience (recent graduates with customer service experience are encouraged to apply)
* Capacity to manage the end‐to‐end employee life cycle
* Demonstrated experience developing great working relationships internally and externally, gaining trust and respect
* Capacity with using cloud‐based candidate management systems and preferably, HR Management Information Systems (TechnologyOne)
* Sound working knowledge of National Employment Standards and relevant employment legislation at a national and state level
* Efficient, proactive, able to multi‐task, high attention to detail
* Strong understanding of confidentiality, privacy obligations, and information governance, with the ability to exercise sound judgement when managing sensitive matters and determining appropriate escalation pathways
* Good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to respond to enquiries with clear, professional, and empathetic tone
