About the Role As a Staff Development Nurse, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening clinical capability across Brightwater. You’ll lead site-based orientation, clinical education, student placements and graduate programs, while providing expert coaching, guidance and supervision to nurses and care staff. Working closely with operational leaders, clinical managers and the education team, you’ll help ensure best-practice, person-centred care is delivered consistently — today and into the future. This is a hands-on, collaborative role with meaningful influence across multiple services. What You’ll Be Doing Design, deliver and evaluate clinical education and training programs, including orientation, graduate and student placements Provide clinical coaching, supervision and competency assessment for nurses and healthcare workers Support compliance with mandatory training, competencies and regulatory standards Partner with Clinical Nurse Managers and leaders to identify development needs and drive performance improvement Contribute to quality improvement, risk reduction and clinical governance initiatives Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external education providers Role model Brightwater’s values and support a positive learning culture About You You’re an experienced Registered Nurse who loves developing others and improving standards of care. You bring credibility, warmth and confidence into learning environments and enjoy working across sites with a diverse range of teams. You’ll have: Current registration as a Registered Nurse (NMBA) Strong clinical experience in aged care, sub-acute or acute care Demonstrated experience delivering clinical education and training using adult learning principles Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills Strong computer literacy, including Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and regulatory requirements A current WA C Class driver’s licence and willingness to travel metro-wide A current National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or eligibility) Desirable (but not essential): Postgraduate qualification (or working towards one) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Experience with clinical governance systems Why Join Brightwater?
