What We're Looking
We're seeking a talented and dedicated Cook to join our dynamic kitchen teams. If you're passionate about food, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and love leading by example, we'd love to hear from you.
Duties and responsibilities
* Cooking, seasoning, and preparing the foods in our menu
* Ensure completion of all food preparation, set up and pack down of the kitchen
* Training and mentoring subordinates in the kitchen
* Following and maintaining OH & S procedures in the kitchen
* Ensure and examine quality of foodstuffs
* Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness in the kitchen
* That the food is stored at a controlled temperature
* Comply with any special dietary requirement for customers
* Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
* Presentation, plating of portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
* Work as a team member
* Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
* Ability use commercial kitchen equipment
Qualifications and Experience
AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma in a relevant Hospitality qualification. Prior experience as a Cook minimum 1 year. Strong knowledge of cooking methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment. Ability to work Full Time.
