The Role
We have an exciting permanent part-time position of 36.25 hours per fortnight available to join our Educational Delivery team in Carpentry at TAFE Queensland's Roma Campus.
As a TAFE Teacher in Carpentry, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.
This position reports to the Western Queensland Manager.
Salary
The salary range for a TAFE Teacher is $45,601 - $61,042 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.
Please note: This salary is based on a part-time workload of 36.25 hours per fortnight.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent, and the following:
* current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
* current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
* evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
* current Queensland Driver's licence.
Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials or be willing to join the foundation educator program mentioned below:
* TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
* TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
* TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (or TAELLN401A) and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools (or TAESS502A or TAEASS502B); or
* TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
* TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
* TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
* TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development or its successor; or
* A higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.

* CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction
