Overview
We are recruiting to fill: One Permanent Full-Time position (38 hours per week), and establish a Casual Pool, with opportunities that may lead to permanent full-time employment in the future. This is a great opportunity to build a career in local government while contributing to the maintenance and presentation of vital community infrastructure.
About The Role
As a Maintenance Attendant, you will assist with the construction, maintenance and cleaning of civil infrastructure and public assets across the Coffs Harbour LGA.
Your Work Will Include
* Road, footpath, cycleway and drainage maintenance
* Cleaning and upkeep of streets, parks and public amenities
* Maintenance of roadside assets such as signage, bus stops and guideposts
* Operation of small plant, tools, trucks and equipment
* Using mobile devices to receive work and report completed tasks
You will be part of a supportive team responding to routine maintenance, emergency works and on‐call requirements as needed.
About You
You are a practical, team-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering quality work and contributing to safe, well-maintained public spaces. You enjoy working outdoors, can adapt to changing priorities, and understand the importance of safety, teamwork and customer service when working in a public-facing environment.
Essential Qualifications And Experience
* Certificate III in Civil Construction/Maintenance Operations or similar, and/or demonstrated significant experience in a relevant field.
* National Construction Induction Certificate (Whitecard).
* Class MR Driver's Licence (or must obtain at your own cost within 6 months from appointment).
