Details: Join the Suburban Land Agency (SLA), the ACT Government's land developer, as the Executive Branch Manager, Land Supply, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Canberra's communities. Reporting directly to the Executive Director (Executive Group Manager) of the Thriving Communities Group—which encompasses land supply, sustainable communities, housing choice, and built form—this role offers a rare opportunity to influence strategic land development outcomes and lead multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative, purpose driven environment.
As Executive Branch Manager, you will oversee a significant program of work that includes structure planning, concept development, and detailed feasibility assessments for future land development opportunities. Your leadership will ensure projects reach the level of certainty required for inclusion in the ACT Government's Indicative Land Release Program. Working closely with the Land Supply Committee and the SLA Board, you will help optimise the Territory's social, environmental, and economic return on land development activities, aligning your work with both the Indicative Land Release Program and the Indicative Land Supply Program.
This role provides a unique platform to shape long term land supply and sustainability outcomes, build strong partnerships across government and industry, and represent SLA at executive forums, public meetings, and industry events. Your people focused and outcomes driven leadership will support the delivery of land that reflects the aspirations of Canberra's diverse and growing community. Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $272,448 - $280,847 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $239,954.
Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
