You’ll play a key role in empowering NDIS participants to lead meaningful, autonomous lives—providing respectful, hands-on assistance in daily living and community participation. Your Key Responsibilities Support participants with daily living, personal care, and routines Encourage choice, independence, and decision-making Administer or assist with medication in line with care plans Follow and implement Behaviour Support Plans and risk management strategies Assist with mobility, transport, outings, and community access Maintain a safe, abuse-free environment Complete admin duties including progress notes, timesheets, reports, and documentation Communicate professionally with participants, providers, and your DESF manager Essential Requirements NDIS Worker Screening Check NDIS Worker Training Modules Valid CPR & First Aid Manual Handling Medication Competency/Administration Desirable Criteria Cert III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent Current WA Driver’s Licence Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to follow care plans and work both independently and in teams Understanding of WHS and disability support compliance Experience working in SIL or NDIS-related environments Comfortable with digital systems and completing shift documentation Diversity & Inclusion DESF encourages applications from people of all backgrounds, including First Nations Australians, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) individuals, and people with lived experience of disability. Skills And Experiences To work in the Industry it is Mandatory to obtain NDIS Screening Certificate (this has replaced a Police Clearance) Required before placement: (We may be able to assist in obtaining the following ) First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling Medication Administration. Preferred: Minimum of Cert III or IV in Individual Support Experience working with providing daily supports. Demonstrated capability in carrying out tasks for a growing organisation Effective and excellent communication, interpersonal & time management skills Ability to problem solve, prioritise, and complete work related tasks. Ability to establish effective and professional working relationships with others. Skills applicable to recording and managing data, information. Understanding of Policies and Procedures & Continuous Improvement. Understanding Work Health & Safety principles and ensuring these are applied it in the workplace. Current WA Drivers Licence
