About the Role
The Conference & Events Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in the hands‑on setup, execution and daily operations of the conferencing & events department. You will be responsible for driving departmental profitability, maintaining high service standards and ensuring seamless delivery of events.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and execution of conferences and events
- Ensure setups meet BEO specifications and service standards
- Manage inventory, stock ordering and departmental cleanliness
- Lead, train and roster staff to meet operational needs
- Maximise revenue and control costs to achieve profitabilityBuild client relationships and handle inquiries and complaints
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene and financial procedures
- Collaborate with internal departments and support hotel‑wide initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Experience in hotel events or banquet operations
- Solid leadership and team development skills
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Financial acumen in budgeting and cost control
- High attention to detail and guest service focus
- Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities
- Familiarity with BEOs, inventory systems and event software
