About the role The Women's provides care for women with endometriosis and pelvic pain.
This is the focus within the Gynaecology 2 Unit, where other benign gynaecological conditions are also managed.
The Gynaecology 2 Unit at the RWH is looking for a specialist with AGES level 6 laparoscopic surgical skills and a particular focus on surgical management of severe endometriosis.
The role will involve both outpatient clinics and theatre.
The successful candidate(s) will be working together with a well established team managing women suffering from endometriosis and pelvic pain.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in Gynaecology 2 Unit team meetings, audits, research and gynaecology service Morbidity & Mortality meetings.
RWH is a tertiary teaching hospital and the role comprises structured and non-structured teaching, training and supervision of medical students and junior doctors.
Consultants undertaking elective surgical lists are also expected to participate in the after hours Acute Gynaecology Roster.
About you Experience / Qualifications / Competencies Must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia Attained Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Have proof of laparoscopic surgical training to AGES level 6.
