This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive Drug & Alcohol assessments in collaboration with mental health clinicians and providing integrated discharge planning for complex patients and carers with a Dual Diagnosis. This role involves working alongside mental health clinicians / peer workers and community stakeholders across mental health, drug and alcohol and general health to ensure coordinated care and support are in place before discharge, with the aim to improve patient outcomes.
The D&A; CNC1 is a clinical expert who leads the delivery of evidence-based clinical practice, provides education and management guidance to health care professionals, contributes to research and provides qualified leadership.

This is a temporarily funded position until 25 June 2028 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.
