Occupational Therapist Role
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality services to residential and transitional care program customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' capabilities and develop achievable goals for independence.
* Provide support and guidance to residents in achieving daily activities, while maximising their functional capacity.
* Prescribe necessary aids and equipment to enhance residents' quality of life.
* Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
* Supervise and mentor therapy assistants to ensure consistent high-quality care.
* Address concerns and requests from residents' families and caregivers in a timely and professional manner.
* Collaborate with the team to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions to optimise care delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
* Previous experience as an OT in aged care is desirable.
* Proven ability to assess and implement quality care strategies.
* Empathy for elderly clients and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Current Australian driver's licence.
