Country Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist who would like to join our growing team and learn from experienced clinicians how to assess and make recommendations around self-care and life skills, aids, equipment, home modifications, manual handling and much more. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting Paediatric, Forensic and Adult mental health caseload depending on your experience.
- Supporting clients with complex needs, including environmental modification, equipment prescription, sensory assessment and therapy, and helping with life skills and motor skills, using evidence-based practice
- Management and prioritisation of clients with high and complex needs
- Complete client assessments and reporting on a regular and timely basis, inclusive
- Work closely with clients through DFFH, Mental Health Disability Complex Services, CAFS, Medicare, Private Aged care and NDIS Caseload.
- Education and training of residential and community teams to help build skills and independence
- Work with a team of allied health professionals and communicate effectively to provide quality service
- Attend and participate in case conferences and team meetings where required
- Work closely with the Principal Therapist on a weekly basis
- Creating AHA plans and supporting AHA’s implement interventions to the participant
