The Role
This position plays a crucial role in monitoring and rectifying issues within product, hygiene, and food safety throughout the plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production of a quality product.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct pre-operational hygiene assessments.
* Maintain meat hygiene inspections and microbial samplings.
* Monitor and maintain AQIS programs including MSQA, market-specific segregation, and control of official marks.
* Work regularly with the H.A.C.C.P team.
* Conduct and monitor product and process specification verification checks related to the dock and blast freezer.
* Monitor and maintain FSQA isolation procedures.
* Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental regulations, quality assurance, and MSQA programs and processes.
* Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
* Timely and accurate record keeping and information/paperwork flow.
* Participate in projects and other related activities as required.
About You
* Previous experience in a similar FSQA position is preferred.
* Experience within the meat industry is advantageous.
* Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
* Good computer and MS Office skills are necessary.
* Able to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills.
* Flexible to work different shifts when required.
