Senior Leadership Role
The Head of Financial Reporting & Control is a critical position within an organization, responsible for maintaining its financial integrity. The role oversees the full financial control environment, ensuring high-quality statutory and regulatory reporting, compliance with relevant requirements, and effective internal processes.
This position plays a pivotal part in delivering accurate and timely financial reports to senior leadership and stakeholders. In addition to managing core finance deliverables, the role has a strong strategic focus—leading transformation initiatives, enhancing reporting capabilities, and ensuring the organization is well-prepared for future changes.
The successful candidate will lead teams across financial control, accounts payable, and regulatory reporting, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. They will combine technical expertise with strong leadership, strategic insight, and the ability to collaborate effectively across senior leadership and wider business.
* Lead and develop a high-performing financial reporting and control team.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
* Oversee the financial control framework, maintaining robust internal controls and accounting policy adherence.
* Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, driving accuracy and efficiency improvements.
* Direct accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, procurement, payments, and custodial services.
* Cordinate successor fund transfer (SFT) accounting in line with acquisition activity.
* Drive process transformation, automation, and reduced month-end close timelines.
* Provide accounting advice and strategic direction to meet compliance and reporting excellence goals.
* Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth audits and timely resolution of issues.
Beyond technical skills, this leader must possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to drive positive change and foster collaboration across teams.
