About the Opportunity
We are expanding our Auditing Health Consulting Team and are on the lookout for an experienced Coding Auditor/Educator to join us in a permanent remote role. Work from the comfort of your home with the possibility of occasional onsite client visits.
The Coding Auditor/Educator role is responsible for providing timely and accurate auditing services to iMedX clients, including the auditing of diagnosis and procedures of hospital episodes in line with the International Classification of Diseases and Australian Classification of Health Interventions. Reporting through to our Workforce & Services Manager you will be responsible for iMedX auditing, and internal and external education programs .
This role will also be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing ongoing coding education, ensuring programs enable the growth and development of both new and existing team members. Responsible for delivering education sessions to clients, developing and delivering education content to external clients coding and HIS teams to help upskill them in coding practice.
What You'll Bring to iMedX
To thrive in this role, you'll have:
A clinical auditor who is a leader in their field
7 years of private/public hospital auditing including at a Tertiary level
Experienced in various auditing practices, guidelines and requirements e.g. quality and compliance, optimisation, hospital acquired complications, target audits
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical coding, including ICD-10-AM 13th ed
Proven track record of record optimisation across public or private hospitals
Completion of Certificate of Achievement Clinical Coding Auditor is an advantage
Familiar with national, state and territory coding guidelines in Australia
Understand private health fund contract requirements
Competent in learning/using patient administration systems and medical record formats e.g. paper, hybrid, scanned, electronic
