Offer description

At Asahi Beverages, we're home to some of Australia and New Zealand's most iconic beverage brands, and we're looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive to join our On‐Premise team across Townsville and surrounding regional territory.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FMCG or beverage sales professional who thrives in autonomous roles, enjoys relationship‐driven selling, and is motivated by managing a high‐profile territory with some of Queensland's most well‐known venues and customer groups.

Your Impact

As the Business Development Executive for Townsville and surrounds, you'll take ownership of a geographically broad and commercially important territory across the On‐Premise channel. This role is heavily relationship‐focused, managing existing contracted customers while driving distribution, profitability, brand presence, and long‐term customer partnerships across the region.

You'll work closely with venue owners, operators, and groups to deliver exceptional execution across our multi‐beverage portfolio, ensuring Asahi brands continue to show up strongly in market.

This is a role suited to someone who is highly self‐sufficient, commercially minded, and comfortable operating independently across a regional territory with significant travel.

Key Accountabilities

1. Manage and grow an established On‐Premise territory across Townsville and surrounding regional areas
2. Build strong long‐term partnerships with key venues, groups, and contracted customers
3. Drive distribution, visibility, compliance, and execution across Asahi's multi‐beverage portfolio
4. Conduct regular business reviews and identify opportunities to grow volume and profitability
5. Negotiate and renew customer agreements and trading terms where required
6. Execute promotional activity, ranging, pricing, and point‐of‐sale initiatives in venue
7. Maintain an effective call cycle and journey plan across a large geographic patch
8. Identify opportunities to improve territory performance through data, insights, and customer engagement
9. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver strong customer outcomes and support the broader 'One Asahi' strategy

About You

10. Previous FMCG field sales experience within On‐Premise or multi‐beverage environments
11. Strong relationship management and commercial negotiation capability
12. Experience managing large territories autonomously with minimal supervision
13. Ability to build credibility quickly with venue owners, operators, and customer groups
14. Highly organised with strong time management and territory planning skills
15. Comfortable with regional travel and occasional overnight stays
16. Strong communication and influencing skills
17. Tech‐literate and confident using CRM systems and sales tools
18. A current and valid driver's licence
