Boral is seeking a dynamic and experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee all aspects of our laboratory operations, ensuring top-tier service delivery, safety, and compliance.
As the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day laboratory functions, maintaining NATA accreditation, and leading a team of up to 20 staff.
You'll play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team culture, driving operational efficiency, and delivering budgeted performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee laboratory operations including customer service, safety, staffing, and compliance
Maintain NATA accreditation and ensure adherence to ISO/IEC ***** standards
Manage laboratory budget and monthly revenue reporting
Lead and mentor a team
Resolve staff and service issues effectively
Manage subcontractors and ensure asset compliance via Maximo/QEST
Prepare and submit monthly KPI reports
Ensure safety and wellbeing of the laboratory team
What You'll Bring
Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC ***** (desirable)
Previous experience in laboratory supervision or management
Proven leadership in team environments
Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead audits and ensure compliance
Basic financial acumen
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Flexible, proactive, and results-driven
Effective communicator across diverse teams
