Job Overview for Machining Specialist
The role of a machining specialist involves performing machining tasks using CNC and manual equipment, as well as assembling, installing, repairing and maintaining mechanical components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
* Fabricate, modify, and repair mechanical components using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
* Assemble machines and mechanical systems with precision, ensuring alignment and correct fit.
* Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of machinery to identify and rectify faults.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed.
* Assist with the installation of new machinery and mechanical systems.
* Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
* Perform site work across various industries as required.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
1. Trade Certificate – Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (MEM30298).
2. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
3. Strong experience in production and jobbing machining, and maintenance fitting.
4. Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical problems.
5. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
6. High-risk forklift licence, vehicle licence, and White Card required.
7. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task effectively.
