Cascades Restaurant & Best Western Ascot Lodge Motor Inn, located in Goondiwindi QLD 4390, is seeing to appoint an experienced, trade-qualified Chef to lead a small kitchen team focused on the customer experience based around quality products, great plate presentation and efficient service.
Cascades Restaurant has been awarded TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence awards, and the adjoining 25 room motel is a TripAdvisor Hall of Fame inductee. We build our success on delivering our customers and guests a "capital city" experience based on superior quality and outstanding customer service standards.
Cascades Restaurant (50 seats inside plus 20 seats outdoors) is open 7 days per week (including most Public Holidays but excluding Xmas Day) and offers a relaxed but professional dining experience. We cater for corporates, leisure travellers and bus groups.
Duties will include:
* Responsibility for daily kitchen operations
* Menu planning
* Preparation, cooking and presentation of meals
* Ordering stock and supplies, and reconciling items ordered with invoices
* Ensure effective stock rotation and minimise wastage
* End of month stocktake
* Strict adherence to Food and Safety Regulations
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen at all times
* Training and supervision of other kitchen staff
