Applicants must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience and/or a Certificate III in Bricklaying (or an equivalent overseas qualification).
Study and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
Erect and dismantle restricted-height scaffolding in accordance with safety regulations.
Prepare work areas by sealing foundations with damp‑resistant materials and spreading mortar layers to create stable bases for block and brick installation.
Lay bricks, blocks, and pre-cut stone in rows, patterns, and complex shapes, applying mortar with trowels and ensuring proper jointing.
Repair, maintain, and restore brickwork, cement block structures, stonework, and related masonry components.
Build and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other load‑bearing or decorative structures using bricks, pre‑cut stone, and a variety of building blocks set in mortar.
