We design and build high-quality engineered systems that meet stringent safety, environmental, and performance standards for industrial and commercial fuel management applications.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering and Projects team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems integral to PETRO's fuel storage and dispensing products, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and project requirements.
We offer an annual salary of $77,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with your qualifications and work experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical schematics for fuel system controls and automation.
Perform wire selection and load calculations in accordance with AS/NZS standards.
Prepare control board layouts and functional designs for custom fuel management systems.
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and requisition electrical components to ensure timely project completion.
Produce technical documentation including electrical drawings, as-built documentation, and project reports.
Conduct control board functionality testing and troubleshoot electrical systems during commissioning.
Perform Time Current Coordination (TCC) studies and ensure electrical system protection compliance.
Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant standards and PETRO's quality procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to workshop and field teams during installation and testing phases.
Work collaboratively with the engineering team to achieve project delivery targets and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience in electrical design, control systems, and project-based engineering environments.
Strong understanding of AS/NZS standards and industrial automation practices.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
