We're currently undergoing a period of change in how we deliver mental health services within our centres, and within that we're expanding our psychology workforce to include social workers and occupational therapists.
Our Mental Health Clinician roles can suit newly graduated or early-career Psychologists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists who want to be part of these crucial centre-based teams.
This is a unique operating environment where you will be supported with professional development, supervision and be exposed to on the job learning like no other role, all while providing quality clinical services that include assessments and tailored interventions that support the mental health, wellbeing, and rehabilitation of individuals in custody.
Responsibilities
* Conducting independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk.
* Providing psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options to individuals.
* Delivering individual or group-based skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience.
* Maintaining a high level of knowledge and contemporary understanding of psychopathology, diagnostic classification systems and clinical and psychometric assessment tools.
