An established South Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Technology Risk Management Specialist to support its Technology business group through a period of risk framework uplift, risk review and governance maturity. This is an initial 6 month full time temp role, with potential for extension or possible permanent conversion. This role will suit someone with a background in technology risk, IT risk, technology assurance, GRC, controls, enterprise risk or operational risk, ideally gained in a regulated, complex or critical services environment. This is not a hands on cyber security engineering role. It is also not a narrow internal audit role. The focus is practical technology risk management, stakeholder engagement, control assessment, reporting and risk maturity uplift.
The role
Working within a Technology Risk, Governance and Assurance function, you will support risk management activity across multiple technology business areas. You will help identify, assess, document, monitor and report technology risks, while working closely with technology leaders, risk owners, control owners, project teams, assurance, cyber, resilience and corporate risk stakeholders. You will also support the transition of existing technology risks into an updated enterprise risk management framework.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct and facilitate technology risk assessments
* Maintain technology risk registers and risk profiles
* Work with risk and control owners to assess risks and treatments
* Support control effectiveness reviews and control testing activity
* Track open risk actions and support timely closure
* Prepare risk reporting, including key risk indicators and treatment progress
* Facilitate risk workshops and risk review discussions
* Support internal and external audit evidence requests
* Work across cyber risk, technology resilience, operations, projects and vendor related risks
* Help uplift technology risk awareness and maturity across the business
About you
You will bring experience in technology risk, IT risk, technology assurance, GRC, controls, audit or enterprise risk.
You will be comfortable working with technical stakeholders and translating risk concepts into practical business action.
You will ideally have experience in a regulated environment such as utilities, energy, infrastructure, government, telco, banking, insurance, transport, health or critical services.

* Experience working with risk owners and control owners
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Exposure to audit, assurance or evidence gathering
* Ability to prepare clear risk reporting
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Practical understanding of technology risk, cyber risk, resilience or project risk
* Experience in a regulated environment will be highly regarded
