About the role
Latrobe Regional Health is looking for a Finance Officer to join our growing team on a part time (0.6EFT-0.8EFT) fixed term basis until February 2027. Working as part of a collaborative Finance team, this role provides hands‐on support across banking, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and general accounting activities. The Finance Officer plays an important role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting internal stakeholders, and contributing to efficient day‐to‐day finance operations across the health service.

Role responsibilities
* Perform daily banking activities, including receipting and reconciliation of cash, cheque and direct deposits.
* Assist with accounts receivable function, including debtor processing and VMO claims.
* Prepare and maintain ledger reconciliations and support accurate financial reporting.
* Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance team, including data analysis and management of large databases.
* Support non‐medical indemnity insurance processes, including liaison with VMIA and internal stakeholders and maintenance of insurance registers.

About you
* Previous experience in an administrative or finance‐related role.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse, reconcile and manage financial data accurately.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook with confidence using formulas in Excel.
* Well‐developed organisational and time‐management skills and a proactive, flexible approach to work.
* Willingness to learn, adapt and contribute positively within a busy finance environment.
