About the team
The Risk and Compliance (R&C) function has responsibility for the enabling the Group to manage the risks associated with their respective area of focus in, line with the Group's risk appetite. In that support, the R&C function will enable the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensure that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations.
About the role
As Credit Risk Insights Manager and reporting to the Business & Agri Credit Risk Lead, you will work collaboratively the broader Business and Agribusiness teams and second line functions in the delivery of business insights and intelligence to ensure the effective management and continuous uplift of credit risk policies.
In particular you'll get to
* As a SME provide timely advice on ratings and risk models and reporting risk insights to ensure the Business and Agri risk profile is accurately captured to support effective decision making and to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies
* Proactively contribute subject matter expertise to the Business Banking Transformation Program and other projects and initiatives relating to risk rating and risk models
* Support the training and education for bankers around risk models in Optimist
* Work with Group Compliance and Credit Policy team to monitor and understand compliance with credit policy and changes
* Act as Secretary to Business Watchlist Oversight Committee

About you
To be successful you will have
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or Economics encompassing quantitative elements are desirable but not mandatory
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of BEN's banking and credit processes and modelling with a working knowledge of Optimus
* Knowledge of business banking lending products and front-line processes highly desirable
* Excellent analytical, financial modelling and research skills with the ability to provide written and verbal insights and intelligence
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the drive to be a proactive team member and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
* Proactive, inquisitive and flexible mindset with a strong to desire to learn and support continuous improvement initiatives
