Job Title: Open Pit Mine Supervisor
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Open Pit Mine Supervisor to join our team at a leading mining operation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our teams within a challenging mining environment.
As a senior member of our mining operations, you will report directly to the Production Superintendent and be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, overseeing daily operations, and managing site inspections to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct statutory inspections and ensure compliance with relevant safety legislation;
* Supervise drilling, blasting, and production activities to ensure safe and efficient operations;
* Identify and manage hazards, implementing risk controls as required;
* Provide leadership and guidance to crews, ensuring best practices in safety and operational performance;
* Report incidents, hazards, and compliance issues promptly;
* Work closely with engineers, shotfirers, and site management to optimise mining processes;

To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A strong understanding of mining safety regulations and best practices;
* Leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure;
* Strong communication and teamwork skills;
* The ability to build and foster strong working relationships with your team and across all departments;
* A current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical certificate (or ability to obtain);
