About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for career growth, offering the chance to take ownership of key components within mid- to large-scale projects while working closely with and supporting Senior Architects. You will bring a positive and professional approach to your work, collaborating effectively with clients and colleagues to contribute to high-quality project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Principal-in-Charge to contribute to the ideation and evolution of project design, assisting in the resolution of complex design challenges.
* Act as second-in-charge to the Project Leader during design development and project delivery, with accountability for defined project packages or components.
* Communicate design intent clearly through sketches, diagrams, 3D vignettes, and technical drawings.
* Deliver project outputs in line with the brief, including design reports, planning submissions, and comprehensive documentation packages.
* Coordinate effectively with external consultants and designers, including cross-checking drawings and Revit models and resolving complex coordination issues.
* Monitor project risks, proactively mitigate issues, and escalate where required.
* Support the Project Leader in maintaining high-quality delivery outcomes.
* Maintain oversight of all matters relevant to the design and production of project deliverables.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have experience working within a collaborative, creative, and resourceful team environment. You bring specialised experience across the design and construction phases of architectural projects, and are comfortable contributing your expertise to support high-quality, well-resolved outcomes.
You will be able to Demonstrate:
* 5–10 years' professional experience (or equivalent) working within an architectural practice.
* A Master's degree in Architecture.
* Experience in residential and mixed-use projects is required, with exposure to broader building typologies considered an advantage.
* Registration as an Architect is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated experience working on design-led, design-elevated projects.
* High proficiency in Revit and Rhino is essential.
* Strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, with InDesign and Photoshop essential.
* Ability to work autonomously to test, resolve, and refine complex design issues.
* Demonstrated capability across overarching design development and project delivery.
* Sound technical knowledge of architectural project delivery requirements.
* Knowledge of local NCC standards and regulatory requirements.
* A strong design eye, curiosity, and willingness to continue learning.
* Ability to work constructively within a team environment and mentor less experienced team members.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with internal teams, external clients, and consultants.
